Freestanding Handstand: How to Do It and When to Progress
- Advanced

How to do it
Kick up into a handstand with straight arms, hands shoulder-width, fingers spread. Keep your balance by pressing through your fingers and the heels of your hands, body long and tight. If you tip forward, step one hand ahead and turn out to the side like a cartwheel.
Target range
Aim for 5 to 15 seconds in each set.
Where it fits
Step 3 in the Handstand progression, which runs from easier to harder. This is its hardest step.
