Short Copenhagen Plank: How to Do It and When to Progress
- Beginner

How to do it
Lie on your side in front of a bench or chair, forearm under your shoulder, and rest the inside of your top knee on the seat. Lift your hips until your body forms a straight line, bottom leg hanging free. Hold the position, then switch sides.
Target range
Aim for 15 to 30 seconds per side in each set.
Ready for the next step
When you reach 30 seconds in every set, you are ready for the next level: Copenhagen Plank.
Where it fits
Step 1 in the Copenhagen Plank progression, which runs from easier to harder. This progression builds on Side Plank.
